With the mission to accelerate innovations and ocean climate entrepreneurship solutions to

promote sustainable coastal development and climate resilience,

Ghana Ocean Climate Innovations Hub is an endorsed Ocean Visions’ UN Ocean Decade

Project under the Global Ecosystem for Ocean Solutions Programme. The hub is administered by Ocean Rock Base, a Non-governmental Organisation which is registered with the Ghana Registrar General Department. The main objective of the Ghana Ocean Climate Innovations Hub is to identify and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for co-designing and implementing technology driven nature and ocean-based solutions for climate remediation in Ghana and West Africa.

The Ghana Ocean Climate Innovations Hub was successfully launched on 27th June,2024

bringing stakeholders from Government, NGOs , Academic and various ocean sectors with a

main purpose to address UN Ocean Challenge 5 ( Unlock Ocean based solutions to climate

change ) and SDG 13 & 14 which focuses on Climate Change and life below water.
